Vets national championships
Kevin Nelson was placed 25th in the men's event while Chris Prevett went on to secure a bronze plus the Cat 2 medal. Jane Hutchison surprisingly went out in the quarter finals but both Chris and Jane have been selected to represent England at the quads match in April;
SW BYC qualifiers
Hunt-Roeder had entries in 4 categories this year. Dillon Bayliss(u12) and Jonathon Salt(u16) faced some stiff opposition in their first competition but gave a good account of themselves nevertheless.
Joe Page narrowly missed qualifying in the U14 event but Layla wyatt secured selection by taking the silver medal in the girls U14 competition
2012 Glos open
Hunt Roeder came away with three medals from this year's competition. Michelle Narey secured silver in the ladies event while Kevin Nelson took the bronze and Chris Prevett the gold in the men's event.
2011 Club junior competition
Seventeen juniors battled it out over 3 weeks to establish the 2011 champion and in a very keenly fought final which went right to the wire, Luke Walter overcame Jon Salt 10-9 to take the overall trophy and U16 boys title. Layla Wyatt came third and retained the girls U16 title while Jacob Lambert came fourth and claimed the U13 boys title. The U11 boys title was shared by Dillon Bayliss and Zacchary Lambert. Thanks to Kevin and Kerr for helping with refereeing and to all the parents who helped to ensure everyone was kitted out in time for their appearance on the piste.

2011 World vets
In very strong Cat 2 events at this year world championships, held once again in Croatia, fortunes were mixed during the poule stage but both Chris and Jane went out in the quarters, both losing to the eventual gold medallist and being placed eighth overall.
2011 European vets
Jane Hutchison went out in the semis to arch rival Janshen from Germany to bring home a bronze medal in womens Cat 2 event. Dennis Hunt took 15th place in Cat 4 MS and Chris Prevett 13th place in Cat 2 MS
2011 BYCs
congratulations to Layla on gaining 10th place in this year's U14 girls event in the national championships. Overall winner was Shreya Anil who was until recently a member of the club and has been coached by Dennis Hunt. Also well done to Joe Page for securing 31st place in the U12 boy's sabre, adding to his 33rd placing in the U12 foil.
Junior club competition
this year we had a clear winner in Layla Wyatt who lost only one fight, with silver going to Jon Salt. All who participated, including recent beginners had a memorable evening with plenty of sibling rivalry to spice things up.Thanks to all who took part including Jane and Kevin for refereeing.
Nottingham
Andy Walls improved on last year's perfomance in this event to take 7th place this year. Well done, Andy
Senior Club competition
In a fiercely-fought contest, Andy Walls was the 2010 overall winner, thereby taking the men's trophy, while Jane Hutchison came second and retained the ladies trophy. Bronze places went to Chris Prevett and Dan Youger. Well done to all who took part.
Vets Nationals
Jane Hutchison came away with the silver medal and cat 2 medal at this year's competition while Chris Prevett only managed 17th place in the men's event , being knocked out in the second DE after losing only one fight in the poules. Both Chris and Jane had already secured selection for the 2011 world championships in Croatia via the age qualifiers in January, by taking gold and silver respectively in men's and women's cat 2 competitions.
SW youth champs
congratulations to Joe Page and Layla wyatt who both qualified to represent the SW at this year's British Youth championships. Joe has also been selected to fence foil as well as sabre
Glos champs
Joe page won the U12 boys and Layla Wyatt the U14 girls at this year's competition. Kerr Temba in his first competition fenced well to secure 11th place in the men's event, while Mike Page came 5th and Chris Prevett came away with a bronze
Vets 2010 world championships, Porec, Croatia
Jane Hutchison came up against some fierce competition in this year's championships as the standard of cat 2 women sabreurs continues to improve. In a close -fought semi-final Jane narrowly lost to Jansen of Germany who then went on to win the gold medal, leaving Jane with a bronze. Chris Prevett went out to Antinoro of Italy in the second DE to finish a creditable13th, the highest placing out of the four cat 2 GB sabreurs.
SW open
The club took four of the top six places at this year's SW open held in Millfield. Daniel O'Neill was sixth, Andy Walls and Steve Gough both secured bronze medals while Chris Prevett took the silver. A Hunt-Roeder team consisting of chris, Andy Daniel and Mike Page came second to a strong Millfield team. Well done to all who took part.

2010 British Youth Championships
Congratulations to Shreya Anil who took the gold in the U12 girls sabre at this year's BYC in Sheffield. Lucy While, after her successes in representing Glos ladies at Excalibur on the saturday, secured a creditable sixth place in the U18 BYC event.

Vets' Age Qualifiers, Luton
Pending successful selection, the 2010 vets' world championships in Croatia now beckon for Jane Hutchison and Chris Prevett at end Sept after their performances in this year's qualifying competition. Jane won gold in the cat 2 for women while Chris came third in the cat 2 men's event. Dennis Hunt just missed out on a medal by coming 5th in the cat 4 for men

Glos open
The Glos open sabre competition for juniors and seniors was held at Wycliffe College, Glos for the first time in many years. Club members made it a memorable occasion and took home most of the top medals.

Well done to our three Hunt Roeder entrants at this year's Bath Sabre competition. Shreya Anil won the U11 girls, Lucy White won the U17 girls and Daniel O'Neill took silver in the U17 boys event.

2009 club competition
this year's competition produced some fiercely-contested bouts from all those taking part in a most enjoyable evening of club fencing. Chris Prevett emerged as the overall winner, thereby claiming the men's title , after close-fought contests in the semi-final against Andy Pearson (15-12) and the final against Steve Gough(15-12). Jane Hutchison took the women's title after narrowly losing 15-14 to Steve in the other semi-final.

SW youth championships
Hunt Roeder is proud to record that Shreya Anil, Layla, Wyatt and Lucy White have all qualified to represent the SW at the British Youth Campionships to be held in Sheffield in May 2010.

2009 British Cadet & Junior competitions
Lucy White produced an excellent performance to come 11th in the women's cadet competition and was placed 31st in the junior event.. Shreya Anil came 32nd in the Cadet competition.

vets world championships 2009
Jane Hutchison picked up her third world title in a row at this year's vets world championsips in Moscow. After a disappointing poule, Chris Prevett went out in the first DE to come 19th in the 50-60 category. Dennis Hunt also went out in the first DE of the over 70 agegroup to come 11th.
